Mental Health, Faith, and Well-Being with Jenna Julien on Sky99.5FM’s The Shuttle

On Sky99.5FM’s The Shuttle, Jenna Julien joined Justice and Brandon to explore the link between faith and mental health. Drawing from her book Changing the Way You Think Can Give You Plenty, she shared how healing begins with acknowledging emotional struggles and realigning with God. Using her method—Reflect, Reframe, Refocus—Jenna encouraged listeners to manage their inner world and embrace mental wellness as the foundation for a full, abundant life.

In an engaging and insightful conversation with Justice and Brandon on The Shuttle aired on Sky99.5FM, Jenna Julien shared her perspectives on the integration of mental health and faith, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a positive mental health foundation for our overall well-being.

During the interview, Jenna discussed how mental health is foundational to every aspect of our lives. “It influences how we think, feel, and act, affecting everything—from our relationships and work performance to our physical health,” she explained. She also acknowledged the common challenges many face, including relationship issues, family disputes, financial stress, and mental health conditions like depression and anxiety. These struggles, she noted, can take a toll on our mental health if not addressed properly.

Jenna’s book, Changing the Way You Think Can Give You Plenty: Keys to Unlock Uncommon Blessings, is deeply rooted in her own life experiences, including the challenges of broken relationships and the emotional and mental struggles she faced. “The book title actually came from a dream I had back in 2013,” she shared. The content of the book is a reflection of Jenna’s journey, from feeling emotionally stuck and unable to express her feelings, to finding healing and restoration through faith and mental resilience.

She shared how the approach of reflect, reframe, and refocus—which she learned from a defensive driving course—became the foundation of her book and the interventions she now uses with her clients. “In this book, I address real issues that we face and integrate God into it because He’s a very involved God. The book speaks about ordering and managing your private life, so that you can experience an abundant life.

Jenna also took the opportunity to share some key signs that listeners should be aware of if they’re struggling with their mental health, including:
